Welcome to DAY # 21
of this month long blog hop.
The full blog roll is in the side bar and all the details of prizes, rules etc can be found HERE.
Today we have a lovely project by

PLATESW146 Halloween 2 for the bats, witch and pumpkins

I used design paper and die cuts but you could of course stamp it all.
For colouring I used neon paint and ink which really makes it pop in a badly lit room.

DAY #20 OF THE 31 DAYS OF HALLOWE'EN

Welcome to DAY # 20
of this month long blog hop.
The full blog roll is in the side bar and all the details of prizes, rules etc can be found HERE.
The Dragon here again today with something you'll either love or hate....
there is no sitting on the fence with this one....
I altered this set of drawers....
 ...into this set of drawers.
Now I love the Hallowe'enie green.... my Dad saw it yesterday and told me it was horrific!
I sanded it...painted it, inside and outside, in the drawers, sides of the drawers and backs of the drawers......then I sanded it again...I wanted the edges to be distress....
Dad said that they are nowhere near as distressed as he is by the colour !
I measured the drawers.... across and down... then cut myself some smooth white stamping card
big enough to cover all 9 drawers.... I stamped and masked all the images.... when you see the list of stamps you'll see how many masks/stamps I used.... loads.
I coloured my collage with a mix of alcohol pens and pencils....
I cut it to the size of each drawer front and adhered my collage on with strong book binders glue.
I distressed all the edges with ink, after sanding the papered edges for a smooth professional finish.
The drawer handles that came with this covered to much of the collage so I made drawer pulls out of garden twine... nice and strong, easy to pull and they don't obscure much of the fronts.
So do you like it or loath it?

HAUNTED HOUSE
by
INEKE

I colored with adirondack and spunges on a piece of glossy cardstock. Then i stamped the images, this way they stay more black. I made the fog with brilliance and a cottontip. The reaper is stamped on an other white piece, cut out and glued on the card.

DAY #17 OF THE 31 DAYS OF HALLOWE'EN

Welcome to DAY # 17
of this month long blog hop.
The full blog roll is in the side bar and all the details of prizes, rules etc can be found HERE.
Today its the old dragons turn again....
and I have altered one of those cardboard book box things.
I wanted it to look like one of those old dusty treasured books that an alchemist
would have on their desk.
Maybe its covered in human skin.... maybe its just black tissue paper, over string I used to add detail.
Inside is a strange scene....when its closed there is still enough room for those secret notes to
be hidden from prying eyes.....
...on the front ...the title..... a warning?...or an initation?
A close up of the scene.... It has an acetate cover over it so that nothing else stored in the book will get snagged up on the decoupaged images.
Below is the book/box from the side..... it has a lovely sheen from the metallic wax rubbed over it.
SUPPLIES USED
DISTRESS INK...WALNUT STAIN on the faux page edges.
ARCHIVAL INK... JET BLACK to stamp the images.

STAMPS USED

Today we have THE BOOK OF SECRET INGREDIENTS by
SUZANNE

Hi all ...
welcome back to our Halloween projects. I'm happy to have you here.
This time I altered one of Tim Holtz' configuration boxes and of course I deliberately didn't cram it
:-)

For the cover I used the same technique as for my wooden box, only with another colour of acrylic paint.  It's kind of matte grey-purple-ish and I added some frantage embossing enamel aged silver (you have to be very careful here, if you heat one spot too much it will tear up) and inka gold. Also some metal embellishments and two 'belts' from leather were added. I cut the leather into straps, applied two coats of distress stains walnut stain, and fixed the buckles with eyelets. They are wrapped around the 'book' loosely so they can be taken off completely.
The metal embellishments are covered with different shades of inka gold, too.

For the small label I used the 'spritz-and-flick-technique' on a piece of cardstock, coloured with distress stains tea die.
On the back of some of the boxes I used design paper and pieces of cardstock, stained with distress ink/stains plus water droplets were used on others. Only for the biggest one I sponged on distress ink with the blending tool.

I'll keep the descriptions very short, if you have any questions please feel free to ask in the comments.
background: design paper, skeleton stamp, small clock and frame with Munch's 'the scream'
design paper with metal embellishment (Tim Holtz) and fly stamp.
design paper again, a scrap of a fence (TH on the edge die), two tiny glass bottles filled with snake venom resp. antitoxin (water and a drop of distress ink refill) :-D
on the left: design paper, tiny bottle with skeleton polish (chinchilla sand); on the right: stained cardstock, fish skeleton heat embossed with frantage embossing enamel aged ivory, tiny bottle of fluid fishbone (perfect pearls with a bit of water). In the background you can hardly see the ledger background stamp ...

of this month long blog hop.
The full blog roll is in the side bar and all the details of prizes, rules etc can be found HERE.
Today its the dragons turn again.....
I have the cover of a hardboard book I am altering,
it was another of my pound shop finds....I love those places!
I stripped the pages, then covered with some Hallowe'en paper I've been hoarding...
I have covered all the pages, but only have the cover finished.... sorry,
I stamped (and decoupaged some of) the images, coloured with alcohol pens and pencils,
then fussy cut them. I composed a scene on the front cover of the little 'critters' having great fun 'trick or treating'. The word 'scary' is done with stickers.

So just for good measure today as I feel I have cheated you all a little I have 2 keyrings to show as well
Both are wooden cross shaped blanks that I covered with clay and stamped onto.
The one on the left is sort of steampunk Hallowe'en... with the fly on it...the one on the right more traditional Hallowe'en with a spider on a web.
I painted both with distress paint, one to look a bit like tanished copper the other to look like stone.

DAY #11 OF THE 31 DAYS OF HALLOWE'EN

Welcome to DAY # 11 of this month long blog hop.
The full blog roll is in the side bar and all the details of prizes, rules etc can be found HERE.
Today we have an INVITATION  made by
SASKIA VAN BOOM
I brayered the card with the purple distress inks and sponged around the edges with chipped sapphire.
The trees and spooky branch were stamped with chipped sapphire as well and the bats and the dancing skeletons with black Archival ink.
The middle section of the card is much darker in real life than it appears on the photograph but I could not fix that, sorry.

Orange, red and green stickles were used for the eyes.

The sentiment seemed utterly appropriate for an invitation for a Halloween party.

273G - Spooky branch
088F - Tree trunk trio
SW N12171 - Skelet met hoed
F0801NS - Grave tidings

DAY #9 OF THE 31 DAYS OF HALLOWE'EN

Welcome to DAY #9of this month long blog hop.
The full blog roll is in the side bar and all the details of prizes, rules etc can be found HERE.
Today is the ol' dragons turn again....
with another calender page...this one with a dragon on it!
This dragon is DRAGON TRICK OR TREAT,
one from a set of  ALL OCCASIONS DRAGONS which are exclusive to DE-STEMPELWINKEL.
I stamped a little scene for her.... and gave her a bright red cloak,
very fetching she looks too!
I used alcohol markers, pencils and ink to colour my page.
I thought you all might be a little tired of my posts here being just calender pages so I have another little project to share today too.
Some of you forum members might have seen my tutorial on stamping onto clay,
so today I have a little box to show you.
Its only 2 1/2 inches square.... so very fiddly to cover with clay.
After stamping the images into the clay you have to cut the clay roughly to size before baking it... allowing a little for shrinkage. Once baked I stuck them onto to the box using my own recipe fixative.... filler, PVA glue and corn flour. Allow to dry.... i baked it in a cool oven for half an hour!
Then i painted it....inside and out with black distress paint.
Then i dry brushed over it with picket fence distress paint.
The most important thing about stamping into clay is the stamps you use.... they must be rubber, not polymar or acrylic and, they must be really deeply etched and good quality.
On something this small detail matters.
I used and often do use NON=SEQUITUR stamps that are also exclusive to
DE-STEMPELWINKEL.
Now i need to make a little something for inside the box.... eeeek... another project!
