Valentine hanger

Hello visitors - I hope you have a great time.
It's me again, sharing a Valentine hanger today.

ingredients:
Raffaello's cherub CP N403

black embossing powder 432105
alcohol ink dark red
Versamark embossing ink TS-VM001

The arches are from Tando creative and were laying around here for quite some time. Inspired by an article in one of the Craft stamper issues I made this hanger.
The frame was covered with relief paste and painted with various shades of red, including an iridescent paint. Then the texture was rubbed with inka gold gold and the edges with inka gold hematite.
-----
-----

I covered the inner panel with acrylic paint gold and a wash of red. The cherub was stamped with versamark ink and heat embossed with black powder and so were the edges. The latter were rubbed with a bit of inka gold too. I used two step crackle on the panel and accentuated the cracks with a bit of burnt umber acrylic paint.
-----
-----

The two parts were assembled with an eyelet, two black pearls, and a string of twine :-)
Oh, and the flower is a small metal flower (removed from a thing I started to alter *g*) that already had some texture on it. It's covered with alcohol ink and again the edges are emphasized with inka gold.
-----
-----

It's a bit an unusual Valentine project perhaps, bare of an overload of hearts, glitter and sappy slogans you can see on cards in shops so often (not that I don't like hearts and sloppy slogans at times :-)), but I hope you like it a bit anyway ...

Thanks so much for visiting.
Hugs, Suzanne xxx

Hi Suzanne, it really does not need an overload of hearts or slogans to get the message across - it is a beautiful piece and says all it needs to say. You did a wonderful job on this! Anne xx

Very beautiful! I don't need an overload of hearts and glitters either, and the slogan will be in the mind of who's seeing/giving/receiving this.
