It's been a long time since I made a canvas and I didn't do many before either. So I thought it was about time to try another one ...
First I primed the canvas with a layer of gesso. Some tissue paper was stamped with the wonderful new stamps from the plate 'writing letters',
ripped into pieces, and glued down with multi medium.
The canvas has been painted then with acrylic paint buttermilk and indian turquoise, trying to blend them together. In the corner left below the TH stencil was used with modeling paste and in the upper right I put some plaster strips down to create texture. Drying time .... *waitwait* then I gave everything a wash with acrylic ink sepia, when dry I added one with red acrylic paint. To give the couple a kind of background I stenciled through a heart stencil with some more red acrylic paint.
The images were stamped separately, colored in with watercolor pencils and glued down. To hide the fairy a bit I used the honeycomb die on designpaper and black cardstock and adhered it to the image.
To finsish the canvas I heat embossed the surface with frantage embossing enamel aged silver by scattering it onto some places. Finally the edges were sponged with a bit of black.
Thank you so very much for hopping by and have a wonderful weekend all of you.
Please visit again, if you can spare the time, to see what my talented teamies are up to.
Hugs, Suzanne xx
