DAY #17 OF THE 31 DAYS OF HALLOWE'EN

Welcome to DAY # 17
of this month long blog hop.
The full blog roll is in the side bar and all the details of prizes, rules etc can be found HERE.
Today its the old dragons turn again....
and I have altered one of those cardboard book box things.
I wanted it to look like one of those old dusty treasured books that an alchemist
would have on their desk.
Maybe its covered in human skin.... maybe its just black tissue paper, over string I used to add detail.
Inside is a strange scene....when its closed there is still enough room for those secret notes to
be hidden from prying eyes.....
...on the front ...the title..... a warning?...or an initation?
A close up of the scene.... It has an acetate cover over it so that nothing else stored in the book will get snagged up on the decoupaged images.
Below is the book/box from the side..... it has a lovely sheen from the metallic wax rubbed over it.
SUPPLIES USED
DISTRESS INK...WALNUT STAIN on the faux page edges.
ARCHIVAL INK... JET BLACK to stamp the images.

Who did you kill for the skin? LOL
A very creepy book indeed, and what secret notes will be inside? The scene is a perfect combination of stamps, the Sunset trees give it an extra dimension. Again something to love inside and outside!

AMAZING book, BD! Love how you've added the detail to the color that those stamps inside are fabulous! Love the dimension you've given the scene and brilliant to add the acetate to keep it from damage. You always blow me away with your creativity! xxD

Wow. Just wow. Everything about this is just perfect--the cover (human skin--eeek!), the scene inside, the acetate covering. Just....wow.

This is just too creepy cool.
Does not look at all like tissue paper.

Growing up in WI, we were raised on the tales of Ed Gein. He both murdered and dug up bodies to make things of skin.
Perhaps he was just a misunderstood artist?
