mini chalkboard

Good morning all ...
It's Suzanne again today and I'm sharing (maybe) another quick gift idea, a small chalkboard.

supplies used
stamps
ink bottle and pen CP Q474
and
ink splatter CP E182
from plate 20 'writers' PLATECP20
stamps from plates
107 writing letters NSPL107
and
160 hardware findings 2 PLATESW160
as well as scrabble alphabet SW K06094

others
distress paint bundled sage TH-TDD36333
black lacquer pen
copic pen
chalkboard paint

This is made from a breakfast tray. I don't really know what material it is made from. Got it at a branch store of a certain Dutch shop chain, where I often buy stuff to alter ;-)
I primed it with a layer of gesso and distress paint bundled sage. Then the wonky rectangle was painted with two layers of chalkboard paint that you can get in any common craft store. After the layers had dried thoroughly I stamped the images around it with stazon and drew the border with the lacquer pen and the copic pen, the latter was also used to frame the scrabble letters. At last the edges were sponged with jet black and holes were drilled to hang it on a wall.

As always: thank you so very much for stopping by.
Have a good day everyone.
Hugs, Suzanne xx
