DAY #8 OF THE 31 DAYS OF HALLOWE'EN.

Welcome to the De-stempelwinkel design team blog.
The full blog roll  for the 31 DAYS OF HALLOWE'EN BLOG
is on the side bar and shall remain there all month long.

Well here are at the begining of the 2nd week of the month long blog hop,
we hope that you'll continue to stop by and see what we, the design team create every day with the
wonderful selection of stamps that DE-STEMPELWINKEL
have in store.
Today is DAY #8 and we have a project made by Suzanne:

Halloween candles

supplies used
stamps
full moon sm. CP E185
dead tree CP R546flying bat CP C110
celtic graveyard CP S578
dark man CP Q457

others
stazon inkpad jet black
heat tool SHDIV06
tissue paper

To decorate the candles with stamp images I followed the instructions of this vid. Only I didn't cut out the images but outlined them with a waterbrush and kind of plucked the tissue paper off the images. I think it makes nicer (= less visible) edges.
For the second candle I used a small pot to melt flakes of red wax (you wouldn't believe how hard it is to get a real red candle around here if you need one. All I got were white-wax candles, covered with a thin coat of red wax. Note: don't try to tint wax with brusho - it won't work LOL) and carefully poured it over the candle. See, easy ;-)

Many many thanks to all the hoppers and lurkers who spend time every day checking out all the amazing projects created for this hop.
See you tomorrow  for DAY #9.

LOVE your candles! The one with red dripping wax is gorgeous, and yes, it's hard to find candles that are coloured through and through!
Great idea to make Halloween candles!
