Birdhouse

Hi all ...
Welcome to a new year, hopefully packed with many possibilities and endless creativity.
We're still stuck in winter, although this time the temperatures are quite moderate and there's no snow in sight - at least around here. Still, winter isn't exactly my favourite season and I'm already looking forward to spring. So I combined a winter-item with the colours of spring :-D

Supplies
stamps
NOF cirkel SW R09062
levermos hoedjes SW K09050

others
gesso 3024-32314
matte medium CH-HSP24927
decoart media crackle paste white DMM17
decoart media antiquing cream medium grey DMM155-26
decoart media ultra matte varnish  DMM24-71
stazon ink pad timber brown
various acrylic paints from the decoart media and Americana range
decoart weathered wood

The birdhouse is - again - an assembly kit from A*tion :-D Primed with gesso I painted it with acrylic paints. For the fence I prepared some cardstock with two acrylic paints and weathered wood crackle from decoart inbetween, die cut it with a fence die and adhered it with 3d foam pads.

For the roof I mixed some structure paste with gesso, a bit of craft glue and chinchilla sand (it's much more fine-grained than birdsand) and applied it with a palette knife. This was painted with transparent red iron oxide and dry brushed with paynes grey.

The stamp images were added and painted and both of the side panels were decoupaged with tissue paper.

Well, that's it for today. Please stay tuned for many, many more inspirations from the DT throughout the year. Also we'd love you to keep an eye on our de stempelwinkel stampers challenge for new challenges and prizes to win.

Hugs to y'all and best wishes
Suzanne xx

It's a lovely birdhouse! Are you planning to hang it in your garden? I would like to know if the birds are fighting for it! :-)
