Hello and good morning to all of you who take the time to stop by.
Suzanne here with my first post as a DT member :-) - Thanks again, I'm happy to be here.

The last year is over and since mine has been (aside from a very few experiences) ...
... erm ... ah ...

- okay, all I say is let's bury it deep down and forget as soon as possible.
I'm thinking whether I'd like to know if the new year will be better so that I can relax a bit and look forward to it ...
Of course if I'd like to know I'd have to pay a visit to a fortune teller.

Hallo und einen guten Morgen Euch allen.
Das vergangene Jahr war - abgesehen von einigen wenigen Ereignissen - eher Mist für mich.
Ich überlege ob ich gerne wissen möchte, wie das neue wird, so dass ich mich darauf freuen könnte. Um das zu erfahren, müsste ich natürlich zu einem Wahrsager gehen :-) 

 Since I saw many posts about resolutions for the new year I felt I had to think of something different. So I made a 'crystal ball' - perhaps it works :-D

Da es schon viele Posts gibt über gute Vorsätze für das neue Jahr wollte ich mir etwas Anderes einfallen lassen. So hatte ich die Idee für eine Wahrsagerkugel - vielleicht funktioniert sie ja :-D

 

 I started with a few strips of cardstock that I covered with distress paint antiqued bronze, the edges were sponged with brown and black ink pads. The circles were all cut with spellbinders.

Zuerst habe ich die Streifen und Kreise (spellbinders) aus starkem Papier vorbereitet und mit distress paint antiqued bronze grundiert. Die Kanten sind mit braunem und schwarzem Stempelkissen gewischt.

Then I folded down the strips approximately 1 cm, cut them in like this and glued everything together. I planned three levels but that would have been too many so I just did two. Around the second level I heat embossed (gold) the letters for the word 'MAGIC' and glued them on, sadly you can hardly recognise it.
In the end I put a bauble into the base.

Die Streifen habe ich ca. einen cm umgefaltet und angeschnitten wie oben zu sehen und dann alles zusammengefügt. Um die zweite Ebene habe ich die Buchstaben für 'MAGIC' golden embosst und extra aufgeklebt. Zum Schluss habe ich eine 'blanko' Weihnachtskugel in den Sockel gesteckt.
