Morning all, Mark here and I'm sharing my little steampunk artist trading block with you today.
I started with a kids play block (they Won't miss it ;) ) its about 3''x 3''. The block was gessoed and painted with decoart media fluid acrylic paints and I built up layers of colour washes to give a intage and aged look.
The images were stamped with Archival ink, the edges were also distressed. Some cogs, embellishments and chit chat stickers were also added and distressed with the fluid acrylics, a coat of Matte varnish and the feet and handle were added.
Thanks for stopping by xx

A real manly block, I love it! Adding the knob and feet makes all the difference. Great piece.
Gorgeous! Don't know why they are called "kids play block", as far as I can see grown ups know how to play with these blocks way better! LOL
Great work Mark
